Τύπου Τελετής Λήξης
του 5ου Παγκόσμιου Κυπέλλου Τυφλών Σκακιστών
Σεμνή και
λιτή ήταν η τελετή λήξης του 5ου Παγκόσμιου
Κυπέλλου Τυφλών Σκακιστών όπως αρμόζει μετά τον αιφνίδιο
χαμό του Προέδρου της
IBCA.
Η Τελετή λήξης έλαβε χώρα στο συνεδριακό χώρο του
ξενοδοχείου
Eretria
Village
στις 20:30, 20 Ιουλίου 2005 παρουσία των αξιότιμων κ.
Κουκοδήμου Κώστα, Γενικού Γραμματέα του Υπουργείου
Πολιτισμού, του Σίμου Κεδίκογλου, βουλευτή Εύβοιας, του κ.
Γριβέα Κυριάκου, Προέδρου της Εθνικής Αθλητικής Ομοσπονδίας
Ατόμων με αναπηρίες, του κ. Φουτουλάκη Γιώργου Αντιπροέδρου
της Εθνικής Αθλητικής Ομοσπονδίας Ατόμων με αναπηρίες, του
κ. Λούντβιχ Μπέτενχοφ Αναπληρωτής Πρόεδρος Παγκόσμιας
Ομοσπονδίας Τυφλών Σκακιστών, κ. Νίκος Γιαμαρέλος Πρόεδρος
της Ευβοϊκής Ένωσης Σκακιστών, σύσσωμου του διοικητικού
συμβουλίου του Σκακιστικού Ομίλου Κορυδαλλού, του κ. Βενιέρη
Προέδρου ξενοδόχων της Εύβοιας και πολλών φίλων του σκακιού
από την Χαλκίδα και την Ερέτρια. Στους λόγους άπαντες εξήραν
το έργο του εκλιπόντος Προέδρου και συλλυπήθηκαν την
οικογένεια, έδωσαν συγχαρητήρια στους συμμετέχοντες και
ιδιαίτερα στους νικητές και ευχήθηκαν σε όλους να έρθουν
ξανά στην πατρίδα μας. Καλή επιστροφή σε όλους τους
συμμετέχοντες του 5ου Παγκόσμιου Κυπέλλου!

The Closing Ceremony of 5th Blind
Team World Chess Championship was
solemn and
plain,
as was meet the sudden
perdition of President of IBCA. The Closing Ceremony take
place at 20:30, 20 July 2005 in the congressional room of
the Hotel Eretria Village, in front of honorable Konstantino
Koukodimo General Secretary of Sports, Simo Kedikoglou
Deputy of Evian, Grivea Kiriako President of National
Athletic Federation for people with disabilities, Foutoulaki
Giorgo vice-President of National Organisation for persons
with disabilities, the vice-President of IBCA Mr. Ludwigh
Beutelholt, Giamarelo Niko President of Evian Chess Union,
all together the executive board of Chess Club of Koridallos,
Mr. Venieri President of Evian’s Hotels and many chess
friends from Chalkida and Eretria. Everybody
condole on
the
tragic loss
of the President of IBCA
Delfín
Burdío
Gracia
and
offer their
congratulations to the winners and all who
participate to this big event.

SPANISH VERSION
Desde ayer a las 22:30 la comunidad ajedrecista se ve
empobrecida tras la inesperada muerte del presidente de la
IBCA, Delfín Burdío Gracia.
El presidente español se nos fue a la edad de 71 años, en
plena actividad, cerca del ajedrez al que tanto amó y sirvió
durante 57 años continuados. Ejerció de presidente de la
IBCA los últimos 13 años.
Es una gran historia la del fallecido presidente. Creó una
gran familia con 6 hijos y muchos nietos, luchó por defender
los derechos y libertades, peleó por los derechos de los
minusválidos en España, organizó multitud de eventos
relacionados con el ajedrez en España y en el extranjero y
sentó las bases para el desarrollo y el establecimiento de
la IBCA en la comunidad ajedrecista internacional.
Con él estaban su mujer, su nuera y 4 de sus nietos que le
habían acompañado a este evento.
Siempre sonriente, dando consejos –nos transmitía seguridad
y certeza simplemente con estar cerca de nosotros-,
bromeando, apoyándonos y contando historias de los viejos
tiempos, creaba un ambiente de amistad y familiaridad y
hacía que todos y cada uno se sintieran cómodos, que todos y
cada uno se sintieran bien. Amó todo lo bello, vivió cada
momento.
Su ausencia nos deja una profunda tristeza a todos los
participantes en el evento y, a todos nosotros -los más
jóvenes- nos lega con su ejemplo tanto el modelo de su
conducta como el deber de hacer siempre lo mejor para el
mundo del ajedrez.

Από εχτές το
βράδυ 22:30 η σκακιστική κοινότητα είναι πιο φτωχή, μετά τον
αναπάντεχο θάνατο του Προέδρου της IBCA
Delfín Burdío
Gracia.
Ο Ισπανός Πρόεδρος έφυγε σε ηλικία 71 ετών, εν δράσει –
κοντά στο σκάκι που τόσο αγαπούσε και υπηρετούσε επί 57
συναπτά έτη. Διετέλεσε Πρόεδρος της IBCA
τα τελευταία 13 χρόνια.
Μεγάλη η ιστορία του θανόντος Προέδρου. Δημιούργησε μια
μεγάλη οικογένεια με 6 παιδιά και πολλά εγγόνια, πολέμησε
για να υπερασπίσει το δικαίωμα στην ελευθερία στα χρόνια
μετά τον εμφύλιο, αγωνίστηκε για τα δικαιώματα των αναπήρων
στην Ισπανία, διοργάνωσε πάμπολλες σκακιστικές εκδηλώσεις
στην Ισπανία και στο εξωτερικό και έβαλε τις βάσεις για την
ανάπτυξη και τη καθιέρωση της IBCA
στη Παγκόσμια Σκακιστική κοινότητα.
Μαζί ήταν η γυναίκα του, η νύφη του και 4 από τα εγγόνια του
οι οποίοι τον συνόδευαν στη διοργάνωση αυτή.
Πάντα χαμογελαστός, δίνοντας συμβουλές – νιώθαμε σιγουριά
και ασφάλεια που ήταν δίπλα μας – αστειευόμενος,
ενθαρρύνοντας και λέγοντας ιστορίες από τα παλιά,
δημιουργούσε ένα φιλικό και οικογενειακό περιβάλλον και
έκανε όλους να νιώθουν άνετα και ευχάριστα. Αγαπούσε το κάθε
τι ωραίο, ζούσε την κάθε στιγμή!
Η απουσία του άφησε βαριά θλίψη σε όλους τους συμμετέχοντες
της διοργάνωσης και αφήνει εχέγγυα σε εμάς τους νεότερους
τόσο ένα πρότυπο συμπεριφοράς όσο μια υποχρέωση να πράττουμε
πάντα το καλύτερο για τον σκακιστικό κόσμο.

ENGLISH VERSION
Since yesterday evening at 22:30 chess community is poorer,
after the unexpected death of the President of IBCA
Delfín
Burdío
Gracia.
The Spanish President passed over at the age of 71 years, in
action – near chess which he loved and served for 57 years
without pause. He had been President of the IBCA the last 13
years.
It was a great life the one of the deceased President. He
created a big family with 6 children, and many
grandchildren, he fought to support the right for freedom in
the years after Civil Spanish war, he also fought for the
rights of the persons with disabilities in Spain, he
organized many chess events in Spain and abroad and he
settled the bases for the development and stabilization of IBCA in the Universal chess society.
He was accompanied here by his wife, his daughter-in-law and 4 of his
grandchildren who had come with him to this event.
Always smile, giving advices – we felt safe and sure
because he was around us – joking, giving courage and
telling stories of the good old times, created a friendly
and familiar environment and made each and everyone feel
comfortably and nice. He loved every beautiful thing, he
lived every moment!
His absence has left profound sadness in everyone
participating in this event and pledges to us the younger
not only a contact example to follow but as well the duty to
do always the better we can for the chess world.
